Two Reasons I'm Not In A Nuthouse

Aside from sending out futile rental applications, one right after another, each one stamped is another "yea right" and "as if" going through my mind; my kids have been my activity, as usual. Though sometimes I end up snapping at them, yes, even the sweet innocent baby (what a terrible mommy I am), I always end up in the same situation every night. Snuggled between the two of them, each one cuddling with me in their own individual ways. With me sighing in contentment, never once imagining my life any different. Moments like those make all the stress and bad feelings in general fade away. As well as moments exhibited in the following pictures. Yes, I know this seems as though it will turn into yet another one of my "no story behind this pictures, but they are cute none the less" blog posts. But, haha! I fooled you. This is a "small insight on the things that keep me sane through out the day" kind of a blog post.

Hylani got bored with the paper on one of our "creativity" days. Kind of goorey, it looks like a slash in his sweet tummy. But I thought it a momentous occasion as he is not a fan of getting himself dirty what-so-ever. Even if it is with just a little bit of paint.

The scary faces that adorable children can make.

The captivation of the smallest of things. Whether it be a shoe lace of a boot that you have been trying to scoot towards for about 10 minutes, and finally were able to grasp....

...or the desperate need to steal the contraption that just took your image some how, in a very magical, unexplained way...

...or even just trying to figure out why you constantly see you parents tapping on this thing, and why it's so amazing to them...

See!? Even though I let loose my frustrations in a sigh, grunt, or Heaven forbid even a snap, at my children, I'm still a good parent (I swear! Really I am!). Because, when it's all said and done, I would be a basket case, or worse, if it weren't for those same kids that make me feel insane on a daily basis.

  1. That is so precious! I love the simple things that captivate babies. What a good reminder, that it's the simple things that will make us happiest! And yippee for the paint on Hylani's tummy!

  3. Sooo cute! Plus, I think nuthouses are given a bad rap...I for one would love the occasional padded room to romp around in. :)
