Sitting Pretty and Other Such Stories

Ok, so. It turns out my computer is yet again broken. This time it's the fan. After installing the new hard drive I noticed my lovely laptop emitting a terrifying and loud buzzing noise. Hopefully Dell will send me a new one soon. I despise fighting over my husbands computer with him, like a bunch of kids over the last piece of cake. That having been said, adorable things have been happening with the newest member of the Hulse family. Despite my sudden postponed baby blues and computer woes, I figured it would be unfair to keep these cute baby events to myself.

These Things Taste Great!

It may seem like an insignificant event to write about, but every new thing Kalea does is 'shout it from the mountains' important to me. We went to her 4 month well baby check up. After the docter left, and before the dreaded needle poking nurse came, we had a few moments of fun time. In that time Kalea discovered that those things dangling from her legs can be grabbed. And not only that, they can be tasted. Although I have no actual pictures of the discovery, I did manage to snap some after we got home.

Sitting Pretty

And now for the best story of them all. After Kalea's 4 month well baby check up, I compared notes via Hylani's baby book and hers. I found out that they weighed about the same at this point in their lives, though Kalea is quite a bit taller then he was. I also discovered that Hylani was sitting at 4 months of age. I then spent about 5 days nagging at my baby girl about how her big brother was so much more advanced by now. We practiced every day, and she shocked me by suddenly sitting without support for about 10 seconds at a time. Long enough for me to snap a few pictures. Now she's just as good as her big brother. For now....

  3. Yes yes! I've said it before, but I too love your cute writings! LOVE how you choose such great words to describe things! I think I've been in the same boat as you with the unexpected postponed baby blues thing. Yuck. And yes, that's soooo cute and fun when they start eating their toes! I love it! And she's sitting already? Wow! Like you said, "Shout it from the mountains!" (Mine all wait til around 6 months to do that, so I'm way impressed!)
